This renovation and The project is a renovation and addition to an existing single-family residence located in the Elysian Park Tract, originally built in 1916. The site is an upslope hillside lot offering views of the Elysian Valley and downtown skyline beyond.
Envisioned as a series of rooms unfolding across the landscape, the project provides for a pool, spa, trellised lounge, and dining area. To mitigate freeway sounds, the project is dug into the hillside, and a courtyard is formed by a sound wall to the South.
The existing structure received a renovation and addition, updating its 100-year-old amenities and spaces to accommodate modern living.
